Turbo Human Rhinovirus 3C (HRV 3C) Protease, His-HRV 3C

Catalog #: EG-1048

Qty:

Description Recombinant Turbo HRV 3C Protease encoded by human rhinovirus 14 3C gene is highly specific for the recognition "PreScission" sequence Leu-Glu-Val-Leu-Phe-Gln-↓-Gly-Pro (LEVLFQ↓GP) and cleaves between the Gln and Gly residues. It has a polyhistidine (6xHis) tag, which facilitates easy removal of the protease using metal chelate resins after cleavage reaction. Turbo HRV 3C exhibits highest activity around neutral pH in a variety of commonly used buffers at temperature ranging from 22 to 37℃. It also retains robust activity at 4℃, allowing removal of purification tags from target proteins at low temperature.
Application Removal of purification tags from fusion proteins
Source E. coli over-expressing synthetic (enhanced) form of TEV NIa proteinase gene.
Size 1 mg
Purification FPLC
Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE
Specific Activity > 10 Units/µg. 1 Unit of Turbo TEV Protease cleaves >85% of 3 µg of control substrate in 1 hour at 30oC in Recommended Reaction Buffer: 50 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0
Storage -20°C.
