This non-integrative lentivirus (IDLV) expresses both EGFP and Cre recombinase joined by a P2A peptide under the control of an EF1α promoter. Cre recombinase is a type I topoisomerase from P1 bacteriophage that catalyzes site-specific recombination of DNA between loxP sites. This lentivirus can be used for switching on or off the expression of target genes flanked by loxP sites. With eGFP the virus can be also used to determine transduction efficiency and optimize viral infection.
